Materiał na "Litte Dark Age", promowany przez singiel pod tym samym tytułem, powstawał w Los Angeles i Nowym Jorku i - jak twierdzą członkowie zespołu Andrew Van Wyngarden i Ben Goldwasser "Nagrywając nową płytę osiągnęliśmy taką chemię i osiągnęliśmy ten proces twórczy, jaki towarzyszył nam na początku działalności zespołu".
