Kolejna duetowa kreacja supergwiazdy wiolonczeli – Sol Gabetty, której towarzyszy tym razem jeden z najlepszych przedstawicieli młodej pianistyki francuskiej - Bertrand Chamayou. Artyści wielokrotnie koncertowali wspólnie i szybko stali się artystycznymi partnerami i przyjaciółmi. Materiał z tej płyty składa się wyłącznie z utworów Fryderyka Chopina, który dedykował je swemu przyjacielowi, wielkiemu wiolonczeliście francuskiemu, bywalcowi salonów paryskich Auguste-Joseph Franchomme. Na deser zaś usłyszymy nocturn autorstwa tego ostatniego.

Centrum płyty stanowi, blisko półgodzinna, sonata g – moll op. 65 na wiolonczelę i fortepian. Napisany w 1846 roku utwór należy do nielicznych utworów Chopina nie będących dedykowanymi wyłącznie na fortepian. Trzy z czterech części utworu Chopin i Franchomme wykonali podczas koncertu w Salle Pleyel 16 lutego 1848 roku. Sonata była ostatnim, opublikowanym za życia Chopina utworem (zmarł w październiku 1849 roku). Płytę uzupełniają; Grand Duo Concertant E – dur z 1832 roku, oparte na temacie z opery Robert i Diabeł Meyerbeera, Polonaise brillante z 1829 roku, dedykowane austriackiemu wiolonczeliście Josephowi Merkowi. Dwa pozostałe utwory zostały opracowane na wiolonczelę i fortepian: Etiudę cis – moll op. 25 nr 7 (Alexander Głazunow), oraz nokturn op.15 nr 1 (Franchomme).
