Od 2008 roku Filharmonicy Wiedeńscy dostarczają niezwykłych, muzycznych doznań mieszkańcom Wiednia oraz gościom przybyłym do miasta, poprzez organizację darmowego koncertu w parku przy pałacu Schönbrunn. Pałac, a także barokowy park, posiadające status światowego dziedzictwa UNESCO, są doskonałym miejscem na to wydarzenie! Każdego roku bierze w nim udział ok.100.000 osób. Koncert jest również transmitowany w rozgłośniach radiowych i telewizyjnych w ponad 60 krajach, docierając tym samym do kilkumilionowej widowni. W ostatnich latach orkiestrą dyrygowali: Gustavo Dudamel, Valery Gergiev, Franz Welser-Most, Daniel Barenboim i Georges Pretre.

Koncert (7 czerwca 2024) poprowadził ponownie Andris Nelsons, zaś solistką wieczoru była norweska sopranistka Lise Davidsen, która przebojem wkroczyła na międzynarodową scenę w 2015 roku, zdobywając nagrody na konkursach Operalia, Queen Sonja i Hans Gabor Belvedere. Wkrótce potem przyszły triumfalne debiuty w Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Teatro Alla Scala w Mediolanie, Bayerische Staatsoper, Wiener Staatsoper oraz na festiwalach w Aix-en-Provence, Bayreuth i Glyndebourne.
