Deutsche harmonia mundi zaprasza do wysłuchania kolejnego albumu, założonego w 2001 roku zespołu The Playfords. Artyści występują regularnie na wielu festiwalach muzyki dawnej, m. in.: Festival "Oude Muziek Utrecht" (Fringeprogramme), Gewandhaus Leipzig, Schloss Tirol, MDR-Musiksommer, Bach-Biennale Weimar. W 2007 roku ukazał się ich debiutancki album "Oranges & Lemons" wydany przez Coviello Classics. Od 2011 roku zespół organizuje Playgroundfestival of early music folk w Weimarze.

Album " Garlic & Onions" tęsknie przywołuje życie na angielskiej wsi z dawno minionych czasów i koncentruje się wokół przyjemności związanymi z kulinariami. Usłyszymy melodie, tańce i ballady z brytyjskiego renesansu z różnorodnymi utworami wydawców Johna (1623-1686) i Henry'ego Playford (1657-ok. 1707), a także kompozytorów Thomasa Campiona (1567-1620) i Tobiasa Hume'a (ok. 1569-1645) oraz historyczną muzykę ludową Wysp Brytyjskich w nowych oryginalnych opracowaniach zespołu.
