Świętując czterdziestolecie obfitujące w wiele wydarzeń, kanadyjscy innowatorzy progresywnego metalu sci-fi Voivod prezentują swoje specjalne, rocznicowe wydawnictwo "Morgöth Tales", które zawiera świeże (ponowne) nagrania studyjne obecnego składu zespołu. To dziewięć specjalnie wybranych utworów z klasycznego i niezwykle różnorodnego katalogu zespołu, spośród tego, co zostało nagrane pomiędzy 1984 a 2003 rokiem. Wybór ten jednak nie jest zbyt oczywisty. Ponadto, Voivod dodaje od siebie coś nowego - tytułowy kawałek "Morgöth Tales".
Kanadyjczycy zaprosili też do studia kilku gości i w efekcie, na "Morgöth Tales" usłyszeć możemy również byłych członków grupy: Erica "E-Force" Forresta (E-Force, wokal w "Rise") i Jasona "Jasonic" Newsteda (ex- Metallica / Flotsam And Jetsam, bas w "Rebel Robot").
