W 2023 roku Einar Solberg (Leprous) rozpoczyna karierę solową wydaniem "16" - kolekcji intymnej, ale ekstrawaganckiej muzyki, będącej efektem współpracy z imponującą gamą podobnie myślących do niego autorów piosenek i kompozytorów oraz dużą liczbą muzyków, którzy pomogli mu osiągnąć cel, jakim była ta bardzo ambitna płyta. Niezwykle różnorodny, ale duchowo zakorzeniony w dobrze ugruntowanym muzycznym świecie Einara "16" to album pełen niespodzianek.
Wokalista współpracował z szerokim wachlarzem muzyków: od współczesnych artystów progresywnych, takich jak Ben Levin z Bent Knee i Toti Gudnason z Agent Fresco, po eksperymentalnego wiolonczelistę (i regularnego muzyka Leprous) Raphaela Weinroth-Browne i Magnusa Børmarka, najlepiej znanego jako członek norweskiej trupy alt-folkowej Gåte. Po raz kolejny zaprosił też do wspólnej pracy Ihsahna i Starofasha. "16" to dźwięk niespokojnego ducha w jego absolutnym żywiole, pierwsza wyprawa Einara Solberga na solowe wody.
