Sony Classical ma zaszczyt zaprezentować album światowej gwiazdy harfy Xaviera de Maitre zawierający dwa wspaniałe koncerty romantyczne, a także dwa utwory Aleksandra Glasunova i Piotra Czajkowskiego w nowym opracowaniu na harfę Xaviera de Maitre. Pierwszym z nich jest słynny koncert harfowy op. 74 Reinholda Glière' a (1874-1956), który podkreśla wirtuozowskie walory harfy pięknymi płynnymi figurami, kaskadowymi arpeggiami i glissandami prezentując unikalne umiejętności i zdolności techniczne wykonawcy. Drugim dziełem jest koncert harfowy Aleksandra Mosolova (1900-1973), który dotychczas nie doczekał się godnej rejestracji.

Xavier de Maistre urodził się w Toulon. Naukę gry na harfie rozpoczął w wieku 9 lat. Studiował pod kierunkiem Vassilia Briano w konserwatorium w rodzinnym mieście. Następnie doskonalił swoją technikę u Catherine Michel i Jacqueline Borot w Paryżu. W 1998 r. zwyciężył w prestiżowym International Harp Competition w Bloomington i następnie został pierwszym francuskim muzykiem, który dołączył do Filharmoników Wiedeńskich, z którymi współpracował do 2010 r., kiedy to rozpoczął swoją międzynarodową solową karierę.
