Joe Satriani oraz Sony Music / Legacy Recordings z dumą ogłaszają premierę albumu wirtuoza gitary zatytułowanego "What Happens Next".
Szesnasty album artysty wydany zostanie 12 stycznia 2018 roku. Dzień przed premierą płyty w amerykańskim Seattle rozpocznie się trasa koncertowa G3 do udziału, w której zaproszeni zostali John Petrucci (Dream Theater) oraz Phil Collen (Def Leppard).
Elektryzujący album zaprezentuje legendarne trio: Satriani na gitarze, basista Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple / Black Country) i perkusista Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers).
Producentem albumu jest Mike Fraser (od 1990 roku współpracujący przy nagrywaniu wszystkich albumów AC/DC). Utwory, które znalazły się na płycie emanują niespotykana energią - począwszy od dynamicznego utworu "Energy" na majestatycznym "Thunder High On The Mountain" kończąc.
Od 1996 roku w tournée G3 Satrianiego uczestniczyli najwięksi gitarzyści świata m.in.: Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Steve Lukather i Robert Fripp. Koncert te zapełniały po brzegi sale koncertowe na całym świecie. "Mógłbym powiedzieć, że jestem zaskoczony trwałością G3, ale w pewnym sensie nie jestem” - mówi ze śmiechem Satriani.
"Myślę, że część jego uroku to trzech najlepszych gitarzystów na jednej scenie. To jest zabawne, nieprzewidywalne i dzikie – wszystko, co można mieć podczas występu".
