Po 25 latach poszukiwań artystycznych Peter Sellars zdecydował się na realizację ostatniej, niedokończonej opery Henriego Purcella „The Indian Queen”. Do 50 minut muzyki i tekstów dołączono wybór świeckich i religijnych utworów Purcella, mówione teksty pochodzące z noweli „Zaginione kroniki z Terra Firma” autorstwa nikaraguańskiego pisarza Rosario Aguilar’ a oraz nowoczesną choreografię Christophera Williamsa.
