"Największym wyzwaniem jest dla mnie ciągłe poprawianie każdego aspektu kompozycji i aranżacji." mówi założyciel / gitarzysta Arch Enemy – Michael Amott o nowym albumie „War Eternal”. "Zawsze poszukuje idealnego utworu Arch Enemy. Kiedy założyłem zespół w 1995 roku miałem pomysł, aby stworzyć najbardziej melodyjny zespół wszech czasów grający ciężką muzę".

Na „War Eternal” składa się 13 utworów będących kwintesencją Arch Enemy. To zarówno nostalgiczny ukłon w stronę przeszłości zespołu ("Never Forgive, Never Forget", "No More Regrets") i przykład tego, co nas czeka w przyszłości ("Down to Nothing", "Czas to Black"). Trackiem uosabiającym cały album jest tytułowy „War Eternal”. Wokal Alissy jest genialny, a Amott i reszta Arch Enemy grają tak, jakby "War Eternal” miał być ostatnim utworem przez nich zagranym.

Album został wyprodukowany przez zespół i zmixowany i zmasterowany przez Jensa Bogrena (Opeth, Paradise Lost) w Fascination Street Studio. 10 pełnometrażowa płyta Szwedów jest niezwykle brutalna.
