John Mayer, najważniejszy amerykański wokalista/gitarzysta młodego pokolenia (17 mln sprzedanych płyt), powraca z nową płytą studyjną. Znany z takich przebojów jak "Your Body Is A Wonderland", "Daughters" czy "Who Says" artysta pierwszą odsłonę krążka "Born And Raised" zaprezentował jeszcze w marcu - singiel "Shadow Days" można odsłuchać na jego oficjalnej stronie internetowej. Producentem wszystkich 12 utworów na nowym albumie jest Don Was (Rolling Stones, B.B. King, Joe Cocker, Bonnie Raitt) a w tytułowym utworze razem z Johnem usłyszymy gwiazdy muzyki folk: Grahama Nasha i Davida Crosby’ego. To nie koniec znanych nazwisk - usłyszymy tu także cenionego klawiszowca/pianistę Chucka Leavella (mającego na koncie współpracę z The Rolling Stones czy Ericem Claptonem), jak również grających z Mayerem już wcześniej Seana Hurleya (gitara basowa) i Aarona Sterlinga (perkusja). Przypomnijmy, że poprzednia płyta Johna - "Battle Studies" - zadebiutowała w listopadzie 2009 roku na szczycie listy Billboardu i w kilka tygodni osiągnęła status Platyny. Album "Born And Raised" ukazuje się w dwóch wersjach - na płycie CD oraz dwóch płytach winylowych (z bonusem w postaci całego materiału na CD).
